A Guide To Dessert And A Movie – "The Aviator" and His Flying Duck Cream Puffs

Need a new theme for your movie night? Whether it’s a night for just two or a night out with friends, we’ve got you covered. Tonight’s movie is The Aviator, starring Leonardo DiCaprio as deranged aviator Howard Hughes, and here’s your guide.

What better way to start the party than with the sophisticated glitz of an old Hollywood party. You may or may not know that Howard Hughes not only flew planes, but he was once a filmmaker. Throw a party that would make even Jack Warner proud. Encourage everyone to come dressed as their favorite Hollywood royalty. For a little extra cost, you can also send out fun old-fashioned invitations. A must-have big band CD. Nothing makes the movie feel better than that.

It’s a sophisticated and fun party, so you need lots of pink, sparkly champagne. Shirley Temple is a great idea for non-alcoholic drinkers. All you need to do is get plenty of Cherry 7-Up. it does the trick. Put the maraschino cherry in the glass.

Tonight’s dessert is duck cream puffs that look gorgeous and fun. It’s a cute dessert that takes on old Hollywood while still blending in with the flying elements of the photo. They look hard to make, but they’re really nothing. In fact, you can make these little babies ahead of time and keep them in the fridge until serving.

“Astronaut Duck Cream Puff”*

Ingredients: 1/8 jar strawberry jam, 4 eggs, 1/2 cup butter, 6.8 oz instant unsweetened vanilla pudding, 1 cup water, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 cup all-purpose flour, 3 1/2 cups milk ,sugar.

1) Put butter, water and salt in a pot and put it on medium heat. Add flour and stir until smooth balls appear. Then remove from heat and let stand for about 5 minutes. Add eggs one at a time. Beat well until smooth and glossy.

2) Cut a small corner in the corner of the Ziploc Storage bag. Place dough on a 15 x 17 greased baking sheet and bag. Make 3 dozen 1-inch long hook shapes, forming a small lump on the end for each duck head. Place on wire rack to cool.

3) Drop 36 tablespoons of batter onto another greased baking sheet. Shape the dough into a teardrop shape. Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes (it should be golden again). Remove to wire rack.

4) Beat the milk and pudding mix in a medium bowl for 1 minute. Place the plastic-covered bowl in the refrigerator for at least an hour.

5) Cut off the top 1/3 of each puff. Remove soft dough. Put the filling in the bottom of the puff. Topped with strawberry jam. Cut the top of the wings in half lengthwise. Set the feathers in the stuffing. Place the neck on the stuffing. Sprinkle with sifted sugar.

6) Enjoy all the charm and sophistication you can muster.

It’s time to serve the little ducks, sit back and enjoy the video. So put in the DVD labeled “Aviator” and let’s get started. I know Leonardo DiCaprio is in this photo, but he’s a nice guy. This movie has something for everyone. Costumes, beautiful colors, good actors, tragic drama and a lot of excitement. What more could you ask for? Here are 10 things to watch out for when watching this movie.

Possible Page Breaks 1) Leonardo’s Butt – Didn’t see it coming, even after telling me to watch out. Tish, Tish. Well, it’s in all its glory (with him surrounded by pee bottles). Really charming.

2) Really Scary Plane Crash – It’s scary….not just to scare the kids.. Let’s all scare the head.

3) Blind the Paparazzi Bulbs – Yep, it hurts all those bulbs flashing.

4) Kate Hepburn – We all know Cate Blanchett can play a dog and even make it look real. I believe (although she hardly looks like her).

5) Dirty Janitor Man – Even I get an obsession just by looking at him. You mean you saw his nails? Iku.

6) Fantastically Enormous Court Trials – Every good movie has a standout speech that makes a crazy man cry, cheer, and cheer. Need I say more? That’s another point for the little man!

7) Gwen Stefani’s Two Lines – Don’t be surprised to hear two lines. She looks the part, but I’m glad they stick to the two lines.

8) Crazy Big Band Singer – I am amazed at the sheer amount of energy this guy has. It should have been an award winning performance. It makes me laugh so much that I can’t look straight at it. Oddly enough, it’s as funny as it is right.

9) Bonfire burning clothes – This is the craziest bonfire scene I’ve ever seen. The music is crazy, but it still makes me want to join Hughes and burn all my clothes. It’s embarrassing!

10) When he tells you not to eat too much ice cream on your date – the whole thing is chilling. how old is that girl She’s really funny and I don’t want to know.

Well, with all this advice, your movie night will be the talk of the town. Everyone will be talking about ducks and crazy people until next year.
